DraftKings Hoping for New Hampshire Sports Betting

The state of New Hampshire saw DraftKings top the bill for offering retail and mobile sports betting. In an RFP document released by New Hampshire’s Lottery Commission, DraftKings outscored all other bidders, only losing out to Intralot in the lottery channel. Let’s take a look. 

Having outscored the rest of the competition, top scorer DraftKings appear to be patiently waiting for their time to operate in New Hampshire. If DraftKings are awarded sole mobile operator in New Hampshire, disregarding Intralot, the gambling firm would share 51% of mobile sports betting revenue with the state. 

New Hampshire look to DraftKings for Online Gambling Services

From the 51% which would go to DraftKings, Roar Digital, the joint venture between GVC Holdings and MGM Resorts International, and Kambi offered 20% and 12% respectively. 

With the final contract approval expected to be announced on the 20^th of November, it appears as though that 51% may not happen. The state can authorize up to five mobile contracts and 10 retail contracts. 

That would leave DraftKings’ share of mobile revenue falling to 21% if two to three bidders are awarded contracts, and 16% if four to five. 

Retail revenue would remain at 40% regardless of the number of successful contract bids. 

DraftKings released an official statement. It read:

“DraftKings is proud to be selected to offer mobile and retail sports betting in New Hampshire.

“We look forward to soon providing sports fans in the Granite State with our best-in-class mobile and online sportsbook product, welcoming them into our dynamic retail sportsbooks.”
